Transportation from Airport to Campus

Here is some information about how you can transport from Los Angeles international airport (LAX) to UCR Campus located in zip code CA 92521. Here are our suggestions:

  1. (Best Option) Volunteered Students: There is a Google Sheet shared among newcomers and senior students. Newcomers can write down their flight date/time/number and then, one of the senior students will volunteer to pick them up. Please join the UCR’s Telegram group to get access to this Google Sheet.

  2. FlixBus: Depending on your flight time, you can take Flixbus towards Riverside, or El Paso East, Or Palm Springs. Their stations are in downtown LA and Patsaouras Bus Plaza. To get to these stations, you need to use buses loading passengers at terminal 1. These FlixBuses have stops at Parking Lot 30 - University of California, Riverside.

  3. MetroLink: Depending on your flight time, you can take Metrolink towards Riverside and get off at Riverside- Hunter Park/UCR station. The metrolink departs from LA Union Station and to get to Union Station, you need to use buses loading passengers at Terminal 1.

Note: Inside of Riverside city, You can use RTA buses to get to the campus or your home.

Note: If this is your first time in the US, you probably do not have credit cards or car-sharing accounts (like Uber, Lyft, etc.).
